I had always been …
I had always been able to hit a nice draw with not even thinking about it hitting the ball solid everytime. Then i started hitting a low or thin snap hook and did this for about 7 rounds. Ive tried everything under the moon to fix it and it either gets worse or i hit it dead right lol. I will check my grip this next time out because i play with a strong grip. And yeah the only way to hit a draw or a snap hook is from the inside out swing for the guy below.
@FenderStrat777 I …
@FenderStrat777 I suppose if you close the club face during an inside out swing you will hook it, but that is not as common as Coming over the top which a few things happen. If Club is square (pull) or closed (Hook). This is more common fault. Over the top with an open face at impact will slice. Inside out swing generally means hanging back, which leads to fat contact and or slapping the ball through impact or pushes, casting.
@CutTonyRomoNow no, …
@CutTonyRomoNow no, ur wrong.the inside out swing creates counter-clockwise spin, hence snap hook
I’m pretty sure …
I’m pretty sure swinging the club from the inside-out doesn’t cause a snap-hook. If anything that causes a push or slice.
This was dead on …
This was dead on man. I’m a 7 hcp and my shaft is only a stiff and i have a ton of swings in it and this has happened progressively more frequently to me and it’s confusing because when your swing is just part of your anatomy and these things happen, it’s so frustrating. Good job.
Great explanation …
Great explanation here.
Hiya Steve,

Hiya Steve,
I’ve enjoyed your videos for awhile; just a quick comment tho – if a low handicapper STARTS hitting duck hooks, isn’t it more likely that his body may be stopping through impact…
often this is described as getting TOO handsy – but really that may be the symptom & not the cause?
Or perhaps, their head position has shifted back a touch too far.
If they’re a low handicapper, their hand position should remain relatively consistent no?
Whadayathink?
