I’m shooting my company’s gold tourney this spring and would appreciate any pointers on doing this task. I’ll be shooting with a dslr and have an 80-200 f/2.8 in addition to kit lenses.

You will want to capture key moments of the players, putting, teeing off, etc. Also, some shots of players talking/laughing togther would be good to show they are having a great time.

Maker sure the players are identifiable in the photos. You don’t want people saying"That’s a nice photo,I wonder who the golfer is?"
You will also want some formal posed photos of the players – a big group, teammates (if you are playing in teams), golfers and caddies (if there are any). And photos of the winners at the end.

A good tip would be to watch a golf game on tv and see what catches your eye as to angles and subject matter. You could also pick up a golf magazine and see what styles and angles they use and try to do the same.

I would practice a little before hand by going to the course and seeing where you can stand to get good pictures and what angles you would like. Also check for shadows during the time of day they will be playing.

I would suggest using a monopod to make sure your shots are clear and not blurry. It would be much easier to use than setting up a tripod at every shot.

Good luck!

Also How do you enter the cheat. I have a seen a list of different codes, but it doesn’t say how to enter them

Sry man the only cheat ive found by reading is

JUSTDOIT

which gives you all regular nike stuff.

other than that no cheats, for tips, im not sure I have never been good at those games…"have them all" just not very good.

hope you get something out of that cheat.

Tips to becoming a wiked good golf caddy?

Posted by: | Comments (6)

i want to be the best i can. i know somwhat about the game of golf and i need tips to be a good caddy

tips from golfers would be awesome

In short, keep up and shut up. To expand…depends on the course.

If you’re at a resort course that has a ton of guest play…you need to know the course since most of your players will not know the course; you’re not giving them advice, per se, but telling them that which they can’t see from a scorecard or a 2-dimensional sketch of a hole layout. If the course doesn’t have GPS, you will have to know yardages cold. Telling a golfer "it’s about 150 to the center"…horrible. Think "it’s 125 to clear the hazard, 135 to the front of the green, 141 to the flag, 150 to the back…"

Off the tee, give yardages to the front of bunkers and/or to clear a bunker. If there’s a spot to avoid/aim for that may not seem obvious, tell me. Think "you can’t see it, but anything beyond 250 yards on the left side will drop off into a ravine…", or "the fairway slopes right to left…anything on the right side of the fairway will come down"…"it’s 225 to the front of the bunker, and 238 to clear the bunker."

If you’re at a private club that has mostly member play, it’s about knowing your members and knowing what they want (and remembering).

Also…you have to be able to track the flight of your player’s ball. Know where it came down, because odds are they’ll ask you.

At a first-timer…other caddies with more time at the course will likely get the plum assignments. You’ll get the known bad tippers, the slow, the infirmed, etc. How you deal with these folks will be a good barometer of your future.

Do NOT give clubs…give yardages. You have no idea how far someone hits a specific club.

There are numerous books devoted to golf etiquette.

Above all…do not, under any circumstances, take your mobile phone with you. If your phone goes off during someone’s backswing (even on vibrate), that’s pretty much the end of your career.

Golf Fast Tips for a beginner?

Posted by: | Comments (8)

Hi, I’m learning to golf and I took a lesson so I know basic pitching, chipping, and putting, but the golf team tryouts start tomorrow and I’m very qamateur.

Are there any tips or tricks to shooting far or high or keeping chipping distance undr control, etc? I need immediate hple pleas!

Thanks so much!

Relax your hands. Beginners squeeze the club too hard.

Keep it simple tomorrow. I’d advise you against trying any new tips or tricks in a tryout. Just breathe deep, relax your body, and swing. Don’t think too much; pressure is a killer in golf.

They say the worst days golf is still better than the best days work yet yesterday i was almost wishing i was back in the office… I played my worst game of golf ever!!

anyway what are your tips to fucus and concentrate on the finer points of golf…

Oh! a question after my own heart! Just got back from a game today.

I’ve been ‘playing’ golf for a few years now and will share with you what I’ve learned:

1. Never let lack of skill or natural aptitude to the game interfere with enjoying being out on the course (especially in our great climate).

2. Understand that your definition of ‘playing golf’ and the definition of someone who really can ‘play golf’ are different. That doesn’t matter.

3. Learn to laugh at yourself. Let it go. It really is only a game. I played with a Pro on the Ladies tour who taught me: if you can’t rely on yourself to be nice to you, who can you rely on?

4. Don’t ever give up- you never know when it’ll suddenly (inexplicably) start working again.

5. Focus/visualise what you want the ball to do. Banish negative thoughts from your mind. Picture the ball landing on the fairway- not splashing into the water!

6. Turn your brain OFF! JUST HIT IT!

7. Never bet outside your handicap.

8. If you are really serious: get some lessons and play regularly. If you’re not doing this then don’t expect yourself to pull off an awesome shot when you need it.

9. When you play in a team- IT IS A NO SORRY ZONE. Everyone stuffs up, just live with it- even if it you who does it.

10. One shot at a time. A couple of years ago I had an awesome round in a ‘medal of medals’- except the 9th where I had a 12- OUCH! Would you believe that I tied and ended up in a play off- which I lost. If only I’d had an 11 on that par 4!!!
